thrift finds for june.

I posted two items I found earlier June on my thrift karma post, here are the other few bits and pieces that came home with me in the month of June. Sadly I did not find any vintage clothes this month but did find some items that I can cross off my thrift list.
jadeite bowl:  it was $1.50 at the goodwill and the first mint condition jadeite piece I have come across. I can't wait to use it.
milk glass candle holders: I was literally looking up milk glass candle holders on etsy the day before I found these, pretty happy with my find.
metal lipstick holder: I love these little holders I keep most of my beauty items stashed around the house in these, this one is now home to my eye and bed time lip products, it was $0.75 I just love the goodwill prices.

I have found some really good pieces lately I have no clue what July will hold in-store for me. Anyone else had good thrift luck in June?

  2. Ohhh these are excellent! I just finished making over my thrifted filing cabinet and I've pretty pleased with how it turned out. Here's hoping July will bring a dresser my way :)

  3. Sweet finds! LOVE the lipstick holder - I totally need to hunt one of those down. I'm more of a lip balm/chapstick addict, so it would be great for organizing my products on my desk.

    1. Sara: Oddly most "modern" lipsticks don't fit in these. I don't even own any lip products that aren't balms to keep in there. They are so great for organizing random items. I wish you good luck in finding one:)

  5. Awesome finds! That Seventeen Cookbook looks especially intriguing. I'd love to know what you think of the recipes from it if you try any.

Happy Canada Day wishes, my fellow vintage loving canuck!

    1. I think you guys may have given me a new blog post idea! I will try and feature a recipe or two from the seventeen cookbook. It is really cute and meant for teens throwing their first party all circa 1964.
