I wear cat style eye liner everyday, and I have found gel based eyeliners work best for me. Gel liners however are high maintenance, recently I have found a short cut to cleaning your brush and thought I would share. My discovery came by accident I had originally purchased the new formula of eye makeup remover pads by almay to use on my eyes since I am apparently to lazy to pour makeup remover on a cotton pad... However the almay eye pads are not that amazing and did not remove my eye makeup (they are too thin and not saturated enough in my opinion.)
I tried one out to clean up my brush after I applied my gel liner and volia, it cleans up all the gunk and is super easy to do! It also doesn't leave you with a bunch of gross paper towel laying out on your vanity. I have tried rinsing and not rinsing the brush and it doesn't really make much of a difference either way. A proper brush cleaning is still needed every few weeks to remove any build up but overall this has made cleaning up in the morning go by a lot faster.
