blogger mail exchange

A while back I contacted Nico of Satin and Salt (I read her blog she reads mine) for a completely different reason but then the idea of doing a blogger mail exchange popped into my head, we compiled our packages and sent them out. The above image is what I sent Nico, knowing she loved lavender I hunted down some gourmet chocolate and made her a few items from some old jewelry and paper. I housed her items in a milk glass chicken and stayed with my old habits and then wrapped everything again in a gold purse. It was fun to do!
I recently received my package from Nico and her is what I got. Random packages are such a nice surprise! If you follow Nico's instagram she lives by the beach and collects such beautiful sea glass I have hinted on more than one occasion I would love some so of course she sent me some. Nico also makes jewelry and her stone pieces are beautiful! She also fed my addiction for lavender and included an item I have been meaning to buy myself for quite some time, real vanilla beans! I will be making my own vanilla sugar soon.

Overall it was a lovely experience and I hope to do it again soon. If you would like to do a mail exchange in the future just let me know! I think I thrifted exchange is such a great idea, I love random items.

  4. I have never done an exchange like that but back when I used to be into blogging about Montessori one blogger hosted a group exchange where I guess they compiled a list of interested people and then each person sent one thing to everyone on the list. They had a theme and a price limit I think. So there were like 10 people participating and each person got 10 little packages throughout the allotted time period. I always thought that would be a fun thing to do. I am not sure how you would set something like that up though.

    1. 10 people is quite a lot! It would be super fun to do though, especially with a theme. I think I can only handle on person at a time. I will keep that idea in mind for a later date.
