peter thomas roth skinstant mask magic review

I had originally bought this mask set from Peter Thomas Roth in early spring and had wanted to do a review on it but it was limited edition so I couldn't link it to anything. For the upcoming holiday season Sephora has brought it back and now I can show off my favorite masks. Masks and cleansers are my favorite skin care item and every mask in this set intrigued me getting three for the price of one isn't bad either. Anything in itallic is taken from the Sephora website.

What the set includes:
1.7 oz Cucumber Gel Mask
1.7 oz Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask
1.7 oz Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

Pumpkin Enzyme Mask:
The Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is a powerful and highly effective exfoliating treatment that addresses a dull, aging, and congested complexion. This one is my favorite, it does sting and feel warm but it is not harsh (sensitive skin may not like it?) I do like to feel my masks working and my skin is not sensitive to AHA's. My skin has never been red or more sensitive afterward and it feels very smooth. I use this once a week when my skin is feeling extra oily and congested. This one you cannot purchase separately anymore getting it in the kit is a real treat.

Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask:
The Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask contains cutting-edge plant biotechnology that isolates and replicates the perfect rose stem cells for maximum age repair.
I love rose based products so this was a must try. For me I am not concerned about anti-aging benefits so I have no reference if this made my skin look any younger. The texture of these gel masks are what is unique. They are not gloppy but spread so easily like a lotion mask. They are cooling and wash off very easily. I use the rose one when my skin feels dry and just needs some refreshment. It leaves your skin feeling soft and at ease.

Cucumber Gel Mask:
The Cucumber Gel Mask helps soothe, hydrate, and detoxify dry, irritated skin. This is my second favorite and I definitely reach for this one once a week. I tend to go for this one more when my skin seems to be half way through a break-out session. I find it helps calm the skin and does not irritate it at all. I have found it keeps any break outs from getting overly dried out and more irritated looking I also find it helps them heal since they are not as mad.

Overall if masks are your thing this set will not disappoint. I will be picking up another for myself before it is gone for the season. My jars look fuller than they are they have about one month left in each jar. The set will have lasted me five months in total which is pretty darn good for something I use 2-3 times a week!

  1. I get nervous about masks. Sometimes they irritate my skin and my face breaks out.

    1. oddly I have never broken out from a face mask, but face lotions and new foundations I have to be very careful with!
