Montagne Jeunesse mask review

I was sent three masks to try out from Montagne Jeunesse via obsessedcanada.com to review. It being the holiday season these masks are very nostalgic for me so giving some new varieties a try was no problem!
I have been given these masks in my stocking for as long as I can remember even last year I put the peel off cucumber one in my moms stocking. They are priced fair at $1.99+ and if you squeeze out the mask and transfer to a jar you can easily get 3 applications. I personally like this type of mask since it gives you a chance to try out something new without spending a lot of money. My skin was bad the day they e-mailed me so I choose clay based options, here are my thoughts on them.

The masks in general are highly scented those who find that they are sensitive to scents should pick a variety they know their nose/tastes can handle.

Glacial Clay Spa:
This is a sheet mask soaked in clay, the whole idea of it was very intriguing it gives all the benefits of a clay mask but is very easy to rise off. To use this mask you need to kick up your feet and let the mask sit for 15 minutes peel off and rinse with water. My skin was not dry afterwards and did feel like I had a full clay mask on. This option would be great for people who like to use a mask to relax and want easy clean up.

Crushed Raspberry Fruit Smoothie:
This one smells amazing it is clay based and easy to spread. It dries on the skin and need a good rinsing. That being said it was softer on my skin than a mix yourself mud mask. My skin was not dry or tight the pore shrinking qualities only lasted the night but would be great to use to prep your skin before a night out, it did not make my skin produce more oil so that was a plus.

Deep Cleansing Blemish Mud:
I saved this one for when my skin had lovely under the skin hormonal bumps. This mask being clay based did calm the skin and not "feed" my bumps. I was actually quite pleased that my skin did not get worse or react in anyway. Like the above mask it did not dry out my skin and left it soft and better feeling

Overall I love the idea of smaller sized masks and will continue to use these when I want a change in my skin care routine.
These masks can be purchased online from obsessedcanada.com they offer free shipping with orders over $25 or a $3 flat rate fee I have personally ordered from their sister site nailpolishcanada.com before and the  shipping ans service was wonderful.

  2. Raspberries are my favourite fruit ever! I love their taste and smell equally, so I think that mask would be my first pick. I've seen these masks before, but never tried them. It's great to know that they have free shipping on Obsessed Canada on orders over $25.00. That's rather rare to find from Canadian sellers and would definitely be a huge motivational factor in getting me to buy from them.

Thank you for the lovely review, dear gal!

  3. Great review! I am wary of masks and such...my face is so sensitive and prone to breakouts. I bought some mud when I was at the Dead Sea in Israel and it was by far the nicest mud mask I ever tried. I just with Dead Sea products weren't so expensive in Canada or I'd buy some here.
