last week in pictures

I would love to be able to post outfit shots once in a while, the above picture is why I don't it is cropped to bits and really doesn't show much... I do try to make sure I wear vintage while thrifting I feel it ups my luck.

Oooh dear I left this behind! I tried on a few bits but left empty handed. This was very tempting to me but it was not "good" quality vintage but rather a 1960's poorly made Japanese take on an older tapestry purse. The white top band was plastic and so was the chain that's what I have to keep telling myself.

It was my friends birthday over the weekend so I brought her some heart shaped treats (all you could seem to find this weekend) from dessert sinsations. I gifted her some of the vanilla extract I made to use in her baking for her business casa burrito. She enjoyed the gesture!

I also had to make sure I justified buying vintage cat birthday paper awhile back so I made her a tacky gift tag. Contemplating making and selling these in my etsy shop.

  1. I love your cardigan! And I really love it paired with the floral blouse.

I bought a great enamel brooch from VV today.

  2. hey daphne! the macarons from The Store Next Door wasn't the greatest. They were too crunchy (not so chewy) for me. However I did enjoy the lemon meringue, the dulce de leche triangles and their own version of a reese's cup.

    have a great week!

    1. great to know that is how I felt about the ones from dessert sinsations! Nobody can seem to beat the ones put out by jenna rae.

  3. I like the idea of wearing vintage while thrifting for good luck. Why didn't I think of that? Love that purse. Too bad it was of poor quality. Win some, lose some.
