thrift snap shots : value village 50% off pre-sale sunday

Yet another made is Winnipeg lambswool and mink coat taunted me. This one was was too big as in the case but so so lovely. I must have subconsciously not taken a full shot of it becuase it would hurt too much.

I never venture into the shoe section (they surprisingly aren't my thing) but when making my way to the purses I spotted four pairs of tiny 1940's heels (a worker was eying me so I had to cut my photo shoot short) I personally have tiny feet; a modern childrens 2 and these were too small making the executive decision not to buy these to resell pretty easy.

I haven't added to my personal jewelry collection in months. It was a nice sunny day and being greeted by yellow enamel is always welcome. My style has changed so I was able to walk away from these but I am always on the hunt for jewels!

What did I not try on but buy and then am going to have to exchange you ask?

modern leopard blouse: this was too big in the bust and the fabric can't be sewn so it has to go back.
1960's knit tank top: I had high hopes for this one I love anything vintage and knit. This one was very cropped on me and showed a good inch of belly skin which is just not going to be seen outside of the house
pink half slip: This I knew was not my size I bought it for my etsy shop. The mesh and embroidery made this one unique hopefully it finds a good home. It is a vintage large and should be listed this later this week.

Anybody else ever have luck at thrift sale days?

  2. Ooohh, those shoes are amazing!!! I honestly can't remember the last time I saw pre-60s (or almost pre-80s at this point) shoes while thrifting. They're as good as extinct around these parts.I'd be willing to bet that these shoes all came in together and that they'd been owned by the same woman, if they were all about the same size. She certainly appears to have had lovely taste in footwear.

  4. I remember hitting one of the Sally Anns once and walking out with not one but three midcentury vintage coats (k, one was 70s but STILL) in pristine condition, including a Persian lamb and fur in a smaller size that I am still kicking myself for not keeping! Maybe it's still out there and you'll stumble upon it yet!
