thrift snap shots : pink edition

If pink is your favorite color you may find this post cringe worthy. Sometimes when I am at the thrift I am almost certain some vintage items that I am drawn too must have been all donated by the same person. This week was no different, there was a lot of pink and I just have to image some pink loving lady donated all the items.

damaged pink pyrex: I quite honestly have never seen good condition pink pyrex at the thrift only heartbreakingly dishwasher damaged pieces. The light pink 401 bowl was the hardest I do love little bowls. The red fridgie was damaged as well even though it looks legit in the picture so I left it all behind...

pink head scarf: I loooove the look of these on other people. I just can't pull them off so I had to resist this 1950's nylon gem.

pink enamel brooch: I don't seem to wear these types brooches all that often so I had to walk away as well.

There was also a pink apron that I am 100% sure belonged to the same pink lady. Have others ever felt were drawn to the same batch of donations and wondered who that person must be?

  1. Sooo much pink prettiness! The chiffon scarf and quite possibly the - what looks like a souvenir print beside it - would have likely made it into my cart, where I there. :)

I've definitely had shopping trips where I felt that pieces from someone's home and closet were spread throughout one thrift store at the same time. It's a really cool experience and something that I suspect few non-vintage devotees would be likely to pick up on (understandably). Thus it's a bit of an insider experience, if you will, for those of us who adore and are knowledgeable about the past.
