thrift snap shots : tags

Spoiler alert: as always with these types of posts I did not come home with anything pictured! It seems with fall approaching vintage knits were and furs were in abundance (these were taken from two different stores). I will admit a closet dream of mine is to only own/wear vintage knitwear so the fact none of these were my size was a bit sad.

The first is from a fur coat, it was actually too small I tried my luck with a children's coat good thing nobody saw my try this one on... the next black sweater had potential but I didn't think it was worth me sewing it in, I love the written font though

This tag belonged to a curling sweater it weighted more than me but the color was spot on. This next tag isn't all that cute but I like how vintage tags show the composition front and center the brand name isn't always the star.

This one "should" have come home with me I am just too stubborn to change my ways. I have a strong dislike for V necks and won't try anything on with one. This sadly had a V neck and it apparently canceled out cashmere, a neutral on trend color and vintage why I will never know. If the thrift gods leave it there for me to try on next week I certainly will!

I am a sucker for vintage tags, are others?

  1. Big time! Same for the (usually) plastic sleeves that some brands of vintage gloves used to come packaged in.

Have an awesome last weekend of summer,

  2. never really looked into tags.. but you got me interested in checking them out.. vintage ones definitely have more character! :D

    Have a great week!
