my vintage birthday finds

This past weekend was the annual Grand Trunk Toy & Nostalgia Show & Sale it is held every fall and mere weeks after my birthday, I always eager await it. It means treating myself to vintage with no exchange rate or shipping to deal with! There will be another big sale next month if you missed out, all the info will be below.
Prices are mostly fair but I will admit they have been steadily going up too catch up with internet offerings...This time around there were no clothing sellers and sadly no purses even to look at; mostly glass, jewelry and collectibles. I came home with glass of course.

pink pyrex "fridgie: This was my token impulse purchase I already own quite a few fridgies but this pink one was so cute in person. It was also not double the price because it was pink so I took it home. fyi: no turquoise was to be seen:(

glasbake single casserole dish: I always look for these when thrifting to find one in yellow for a few dollars more than a thrift store price was a treat. Hoping to make a mini pie in this soon!

bakelite brooch: This is my first bakelite purchase. I was looking to come home with another bird brooch (my love) but did a 180 when I saw this brooch for a fair price. It is classic and unlike anything else I own or wear. I am loving the feel of this and may just jump on the bakelite bandwagon now.

The next sale put on by the Manitoba Antiques Association is:
