Chronically Vintage is hosting her second annual vintage secret Santa! You can visit her blog here to sign up, the cut-off date is November 25th. I participated in this last year and had a lot of fun putting together my package. Just last month I was tagged on instagram by my swap partner showing me that they kept and use one of the items I sent.
BROOKLYN is a vintage fashion loving girls dream!
Based on the novel by Irish writer Colm Toibin adapted for the screen by Nick Hornby,
BROOKLYN tells the profoundly moving story of Eilis Lacey (Saoirse
Ronan), a young Irish immigrant navigating her way through 1950s
Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and the
comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City. The
initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance
sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her new
vivacity is disrupted by her past, and Eilis must choose between two
countries and the lives that exist within. The film
features some beautiful vintage fashion by costume designer Odile Dicks-Mireaux.
