HG drugstore beauty

With the start of the new year I paired down my beauty routine and have definitely found a few drugstore items that are HG status for me. Here is a look at a few of them!

CeraVe cleanser: I went 4 months living off all the cleanser samples I had accumulated only to go back to this one. It is no fuss gentle and is really good for my skin. It isn't the most exciting but I know I will be sticking with this as my go to cleanser from now on.

Covergirl ready set gorgeous foundation: This was a complete surprise. I didn't hear much about this when it first came out. I was in the market for a new foundation (preferably cheap) and this had good reviews for not settling into pores and looking bad on oily skin. I can say that while it doesn't keep my skin from getting oily it makes my oily skin look lovely, it is long lasting and well worth the $7.99 price tag. The only downfall is if you have pale skin the lightest shade 105 classic ivory is too dark for me but I wear it...

Real Techniques brushes and sponges: I have owned the expert face brush for years now and have never had a hair fall out and it washes up just perfectly. The complexion sponge is really the best I have tried. The contour brush is fairly new to me but it has solidified my opinion that if I am in the market for a new brush to look at real techniques first. The only dud I have bought from them is the silicone eyeliner brush.

Rimmel extra 3D lash (not pictured, mini review here) This mascara is now my go to! It doesn't seem to dry out or get clumpy as it ages I can use one tube for 2-3 months easy and it still feels like new. It is only $3.98 and doesn't flake or transfer during the day, all wins!

What are some of your drugstore favorites?

    1. Hi Sybil!
Sometimes Walmart has a few brushes from the collection (usually sold out!)and Rexal Pharmacy carries them as well. Believe it or not they are cheaper to buy locally than online:)

  2. Ooohh, how col that at you were able to find Real Techniques brushes. I've heard rumours of them being available here and there in places like Calgary and Toronto, but haven't encountered them here locally yet (our Walmart doesn't stock them). Definitely another thing to load up on when I eventually make it out to Winnipeg. :)

Big hugs & happy start of spring wishes,
    ♥ Jessica
